D4E1 ~ Paperless Portfolio workshop

Shilpanjali, 1995 issue of Sir J J Institute of Applied Art, featured this article on Paperless Portfolio which I had written as an insight, in 1993 about the incoming paradigm shift, that was bringing a change for the creative community, in the digital space.
This article captures the essence and attitude for artists, that is relevant even today.

Thanks to Prof Ranjan Joshi, he reminded me of this article in 2012. When I read through it, I realised that its time to make this into a workshop for aspiring students. I named it Paperless Portfolio. Shilpanjali, 1995 issue of Sir J J Institute of Applied Art, featured this article on Paperless Portfolio which I had conceived as an insight, in 1993 about the incoming paradigm shift, that was bringing a change for the creative community, in the digital space.

This article captures the essence and attitude for artists, that can be reflected and relevant even today.

The challenge is to develop and retain strong traditional skills along with a logical blend and understanding of digital, for the future of artist community and longevity.Along with my team at Thatzit and with assistance of Harshita Pande, we created a 3hr Program and a presentation that eventually transformed lot of artists to enter digital space. We brought out the relevance and the tools for reaching out across the world.

The workshop started at Sophia College.

We then took the workshop it to Raheja, Abhinav, Goa School of Art and Bandekar College, Sawantwadi and VIVA college of art.

We created a bootcamp to first check the results of this program and got interesting results.
